PAGOSA FARMERS MARKET: Native Heritage Apothecary

This week’s Pagosa Farmers Market article highlights Native Heritage Apothecary and its owner Skye Schmelzer.

Skye is a holistic herbalist and licensed massage therapist with over a decade of experience in herbal and holistic health. Visit her at the Market and you’ll find a wide array of healing oils, salves, tea blends, tinctures, and skin care products. With a mission to support local medicine makers, all of Skye’s products are sourced from the southwest region of the four corners.

Native Heritage Apothecary and Skye’s purpose is to connect people with nature by providing ethically-sourced herbal goods, educational gatherings, and holistic based services. Skye offers her customers a natural & strengthening approach to herbalism, massage & other supportive holistic modalities that assist the body in finding a more harmonized state of being. She has traveled to many regions of America to learn about the medicinal uses of plants and the art of healing with a heart-centered touch.

Skye’s business model includes a “give-back” philosophy called Giftegrity Health. Giftegrity Health is based off of sacred economic principles. It’s a pay-it-forward system that supports the local demands and the diversity of the demographics in the Southwest. Sacred economics and community health strive for three benefits: Compassion – ability to give back to someone in the community, Gratitude – affordability for health services no matter of income, Thrive – accessibility to health care to increase consistency of health. See Skye at the Market and learn more about Giftegrity Health and her 50+ organic bulk herbs and custom blends.
