Celebration of Life for Ron Gustafson, Saturday, September 7

On Flag Day, June 14, our dear friend Ron Gustafson, affectionately known as Mr. Pagosa, sadly left us to fend for ourselves. He was 90-years-old, but still warming the hearts of all who crossed his path.

And now, we will celebrate his extraordinary life at Centerpoint Church (2772 Centerpoint Dr, Pagosa Springs) this coming Saturday, September 7 at 10am.

In 1997, Ron, and Cindy, his loving wife of 42 years, moved to Pagosa Springs and fell in love with the town and its people. They were a force for goodness, and their benevolence touched the lives of many grateful Pagosans. Their unabashed love and compassion was seemingly directed at turning our little town into one big happy family.

Ron was a proud Air Force veteran, a loyal husband and affectionate patriarch, a trustworthy friend to all, a tireless volunteer; and most important, a good Christian who actually walked the walk.

If you, dear reader, had a chance to study Ron’s lengthy obituary, you would have been amazed at the selfless contributions and altruism that made up his long life. But even if you are one of those who never knew the man, please come to the celebration and listen to the many testimonials honoring a truly great human being, and a life well lived. Only then can you understand why Ron Gustafson will always be known as the one and only . . . Mr. Pagosa!

We will never forget you, my friend.
