The Ruby Sisson Library Foundation is partnering with best-selling author Anne Hillerman to present three events on September 13 and 14.
Anne has written a number of books expanding on the stories made famous by her father, Tony Hillerman, and the Foundation has some exciting events planned for Anne’s visit.
Special Friends of the Library Movie Night
Friday, September 13 at 7:00pm
Friends members can join best-selling author Anne Hillerman at the Ruby Sisson Library to watch and discuss the first episode of Dark Winds, the AMC series based on several Tony Hillerman books. Anne Hillerman is an executive producer for the show. Event is open to Friends of the Library members only. Tickets are $30 in advance (online here) and $35 at the door. Doors open at 7pm. Space is limited.
This Movie Night will be held at the Ruby Sisson Library, located at 811 San Juan Street.
Writer’s Workshop with Anne Hillerman and Dave Tedlock
Saturday, September 14 at 9:00am
Explore writing craft with Anne Hillerman and Dave Tedlock, who has taught writing at Roger Williams University, Iowa State University, and the Harvard Business School. Tickets are $25 and are only sold in advance (online here). Workshop is limited to 20 participants and will run from 9-11am

Fireside Chat with Anne Hillerman

Support our Mountains of Opportunity campaign to expand and renovate your Ruby Sisson Library at this special evening with Anne Hillerman, whose novels continue the Leaphorn and Chee detective stories popularized by her late father, Tony Hillerman. Join Anne for a live interview and conversation with Rick Holter, a former NPR journalist who now lives in Pagosa Springs. Enjoy delicious craft hors d’oeuvres provided by San Juan Gourmet along with a cash bar. Tickets are $50 in advance (online here) and $55 at the door. Doors open at 6pm.
The Fireside Chat will be held at the PLPOA Clubhouse, located at 230 Port Avenue.
