Veterans for Veterans to Host Pancake Breakfast, Flights for Kids, at the County Airport

On Saturday, September 14, Veterans for Veterans of Archuleta County will be hosting its third annual Community Pancake Breakfast at Stevens field airport, just off of County Road 600. The breakfast will be served from 8 till 11am and is free to all. Donations will be accepted.

There will be an honor guard performance by the American Legion Post 108.

Although the pancake breakfast will be served only on September 14, the Young Eagles program will be providing free airplane flights for kids age 8 to 18 at the airfield on both September 14 and 15, from 8 to 11am.

Parents must preregister their children at http://www.youngeagles.com and choose 81147 in the location box as indicated. Choose your desired date for your kid’s flight. No flights will be authorized at the event; you must preregister.

Each child who flies will receive a commemorative photo and a log book recording their flight.
