LETTER: Pagosa Kindness, and Honesty

A couple of weeks ago I stopped at Sonic for a milkshake. That evening, I received a text asking if I had lost my wallet and I.D.  Immediately, I said no.  Then I was told to look on the Facebook Bitchin’ Pagosa group.

Wow… there it was.

I immediately got in touch with the gentleman who posted it. I met them at his apartment parking lot. He said his daughter, Dallas, worked at Sonic and found them on the ground. They were in two card holders, with my car registrations and insurance cards for 3 vehicles, AAA card, Lifetime member card, and a credit card. I thanked them and gave Dallas $50 as a token of my appreciation.

To replace all my cards, I would have been on the phone for hours.

Raymond Revuelta and his family had moved to Pagosa from California. I sent a chat to Raymond asking: What is your daughter’s name? I am so blessed that she was the one to pick up my cards, and you reached out to find me! You have taught her well.

His response: Since I moved to Pagosa I’ve seen nothing but kindness. So, yes, it was the right thing to do. I’ve taught my daughter if it doesn’t belong to you give it back. Thanks to Bitchin’ Pagosa we were able to find you.

It is people like Raymond and Dallas who make living in Pagosa Springs a great place. I have been blessed; thank you, Raymond and Dallas!
