La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) and the Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) announce an upcoming application event for the Sunnyside Community Solar program, this Tuesday, August 6, at the Ruby Sisson Library, 811 San Juan St, Pagosa Springs.

The Sunnyside Community Solar initiative is designed to empower members by offering hassle-free access to clean, locally sourced energy. Participants can subscribe to fully maintained solar panels without upfront costs or changes to their property.

Key benefits of the program include income-qualified options that enable eligible members to save 20% on their monthly energy charge. Moreover, subscribers can customize their solar panel subscription to precisely match their energy needs and enjoy a portable subscription that moves with them within LPEA’s service area.

Whether interested in applying or seeking information, the event offers comprehensive support.

The open house format allows attendees to visit anytime between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. Paper applications will be available for general membership and income-qualified applicants. On-site assistance, including document copying services, will be provided by knowledgeable LPEA and 4CORE staff.

Applications for the Sunnyside Community Solar program will be accepted until August 29. This event provides an ideal opportunity to engage with program details, receive application assistance, and ensure a streamlined process.

Attendees are encouraged to mark their calendars, prepare questions, and bring necessary documentation for a smooth application experience.
