Paving Project on Hwy 151 Begins August 17

Beginning August 17, the Colorado Department of Transportation will pave various segments on CO Highway 151. Motorists traveling between Arboles and Chimney Rock National Monument should plan for full stops and up to 15-minute delays, Monday through Thursday.

CDOT crews will work as swiftly as possible to complete the surface treatment by the end of the month, however resurfacing operations are weather dependent.

CDOT paving operations will take place on CO 151 from August 17-31. Crews will pave multiple sections of the highway from Arboles north to the US 160 junction.

Traffic Impacts
Daytime work hours range from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Thursday. Expect one-lane alternating traffic and 15-minute delays. Traffic will be guided by cones, signs and flagging personnel.

Highway exits and access may be limited at times. Motorists will encounter 40 mph speed reductions.

The following tips are to help you stay safe while traveling through maintenance and construction work zones.
