A previous Daily Post article listed several exceptions for gun purchases, for persons under 21 years of age, as listed in SB23-169. The law increases the legal age for gun purchases from 18 to 21.
The exceptions we quoted were from an early version of the bill. The final, signed law lists only these exceptions:
- The person is an active member of the United States armed forces; or
- The person is a peace officer or certified by the P.O.S.T. board.
