Tomorrow morning, Saturday June 24, grab those produce bags, coolers, and sun hats and head down to the first Farmers Market of summer 2023. The market has been in operation for 17 years with the support and sponsorship of the non-profit Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS). The Farmers Market brings you goods from local farms and gardens.
For vendors, the market opening means time to reap the fruits of their labors by selling harvested produce and homemade goods. This is a time for makers, growers, and producers to come together and make some extra money while providing essential products and encouraging our community to thrive.
For consumers it’s time to grab your shopping bags and support the hard working farmers who offer these delicious commodities. Consumers needn’t worry about the quality of products at the Farmers Market. Each garden vendor offers the freshest selection of produce while the baked goods will tantalize taste buds.
A variety of home-grown vegetables, pastries, breads, local honey, farm-fresh eggs, locally roasted coffee and grass-fed USDA meat will be sold throughout the summer. Don’t miss out on the added attractions: music, picnic spots, and the delectable cooked food you can buy and munch while browsing. The Farmers Market is a testament to the vibrant, supportive community of Pagosa Springs. The location is at the east end of town in the Eastside Market space and the hours are from 9am-1pm.
The Farmers Market accepts and encourages SNAP/EBT cards and offers a special deal of $20 worth of Double Up Bucks with your first $20 SNAP\EBT purchase. Keep an eye out for the SOS booth, an organization that works to promote sustainable living in Archuleta County.
The Town of Pagosa Springs and the Pagosa Area Tourism Board are supporters of the Market. These organizations recognize the Market’s importance to both locals and tourists.
