Archuleta County is pleased to announce the hiring of a Transitional Public Health Director. Three qualified candidates were interviewed last Friday May 12, 2023, and Ashley Wilson was subsequently chosen for the position.
Ashley has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of California Berkley and comes to Archuleta County Government from Rise Above Violence where she most recently held the position of Outreach and Evaluation Coordinator.
Having been raised in Archuleta County, Ashley is well rooted in the community and participates with several non-profit organizations locally.
She has been a member of the Transitional Advisory Committee for the County’s new Public Health Department which will begin offering services to the public on January 1, 2024. Ashley’s involvement with the committee along with her experience and expertise in the field will be paramount in leading the new Public Health Department.
The County welcomes Ashley Wilson and looks forward to providing premium Public Health services and programs to the residents of Archuleta County.
