HMPRESENTLY: Sibling Cats?

They could have been siblings, those two cats.

One of them, Daily Post humor columnist’s Louis Cannon’s cat, Roscoe…

…and our Raisin, who was a member of our family for many years.

‘Raisie,’ as we nicknamed her — and sometimes we called her ‘Noosh’ — like Roscoe, slept wherever she pleased, in our bed, our son’s bed, in her kitty bed, on a window sill.

She was really something! A real character.

When we got her from the pound, she had some respiratory issues, and we were told they didn’t put her down because there was just something about her.

They were so right!

We’d been told she probably was a Maine Coon cat, and over a number of years, we’d seen other cats looking a little like Raisie — Maine Coon cats — but they didn’t resemble Noosh as much as Roscoe apparently does. When we saw Roscoe’s picture in Mr. Cannon’s article, my wife and I agreed, they could have been related, even though Raisie was a California cat, and Roscoe resides in Pagosa Springs…
