Broadway in the Mountains Continues with ‘Bright Star’

After a successful opening weekend, “Bright Star” will again grace the stage at Thingamajig Theatre Company, this Friday and Saturday, June 10th and 11th at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm. The story of “Bright Star” takes you on an emotional journey of the joys of love, the pain of loss and every emotion in-between. The harmonious melodies, professional acting and dance will entertain and delight while tugging on your heartstrings.

In addition to June 10 and 11, “Bright Star” will be performed on June 18, 24 and 25… then in rotation with “Guys and Dolls” and “The SpongeBob Musical” through August 24.

“Guys and Dolls” is currently in rehearsal and will have it’s Champagne Opening on Friday, June 17. The high energy musical is set in “Runyonland”, also known as the underworld of New York City in the 1920’s. Based on a blending of the short stories by Damon Runyon, “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown” and “Blood Pressure,” the romantic comedy is filled with energy, great songs and characters from all walks of life.

Thingamajig Theatre Company was cofounded in 2011 by Tim and Laura Moore. It is an award-winning professional nonprofit 501c3 theatre in residence within the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Its talented actors, directors and production teams come from across the U.S. and around the world to produce Broadway-level musicals, comedies and dramas year-round. Thingamajig is also dedicated to providing educational opportunities for youth and teens in our community.
