There’s lots of fun to be had this summer at Chimney Rock National Monument.
The Chimney Rock Interpretive Association (CRIA) offers youth workshops that help bring this beautiful site to life, so people today can visualize what it might have been like to live here 1,000 years ago.
CRIA’s youth workshops take place in June and July and include age-appropriate activities such as rock art, weaving, coil pottery, artifact discovery, nature collage and much more. Students must bring a sack lunch. Water and a snack will be provided.
The cost for the workshops is $35 for the first child and $25 for each additional child per family. Scholarships are available.
The workshops run from 9am to 2pm on June 3, 6, 13, 22 and July 1, 13, 22 and 27.
