Pagosa Humane Society Announces New Executive Director

The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs is pleased to announce that Robson Reyes has been named as its new executive director. Reyes had been serving as the interim executive director since July 2021.

Reyes joined the organization in October 2019. Most recently, as the director of marketing and development, his efforts were focused on growing the organization’s presence online, as well as working on new ways of marketing, fundraising and brand building. He has worked to grow funding by identifying new opportunities, building relationships and securing partnerships, and implementing new programs.

Reyes has used his extensive technical background and expertise to oversee virtual fundraising events in the midst of COVID and, most recently, he has spearheaded efforts to join forces with other local nonprofits as we collectively work toward improving the lives of both the animals and the residents of Archuleta County.

As the new executive director, Reyes will continue to cultivate staff and community relationships, identify new ways for HSPS to grow and increase funding so that we can continue to provide exceptional care to the growing number of cats and dogs that come through our shelter each year.

The HSPS Board of Directors is looking forward to seeing Reyes carry on our long history of serving both the animals and citizens of Archuleta County in many new and exciting ways.
