‘Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration’ in Downtown Pagosa This Saturday

Join us on Saturday, December 18, from 5:30 to 8:30pm for the inaugural Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration in downtown Pagosa Spring.

The theme centers around an old-fashioned Christmas and the spirit of giving. We are inviting the entire community to participate to make this special for everyone. The event will be held along the Riverwalk Trail in downtown Pagosa, with foot traffic leisurely moving along the luminaria-lit route, with multiple entry points in order to ease congestion.

Along the route, explore festive displays, live music, choirs, free hot chocolate and cider, drinks, toys, treats, games, Santa Claus and much more.

Key entry points for the walking route include:
(1) Town Park
(2) San Juan River Scenic Overlook
(3) Visitor Center and
(4) the Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership site at Centennial Park.

Participants entering at the key entry points will be provided with glow sticks and a scavenger hunt card to win a free ornament.

Segments of the walk have been adopted by the following groups, organizations and businesses:

  • Knights of Columbus: annual Nativity scene
  • Chimney Rock Interpretive Association: Ancestral Puebloan pithouse
  • GOAL High School
  • Restorative Solutions and Soul Medicinals
