‘Worship in the Mountains’ Offers Spiritual Relief This Weekend

By Kanaka Perea

If you are feeling anxious or tired… fatigued from the battle of this year… you’re not alone. Hearts are heavy. Many are struggling to hold onto hope. But be assured, in the midst of all of this, there is room for hope.

We invite you to find encouragement, prayer and healing at Worship in the Mountains, this weekend, September 25, 26 and 27. There will be live worship, speakers, prayer and fellowship. The event will take place in the large field across from Town Park allowing for plenty of room for social distancing, and lots of fresh mountain air.

June Marquez and The Three of Us will kick off the event Friday at 6pm with old time gospel favorites. We have a full lineup of musicians and speakers that we are working into a schedule — visit our Eventbrite page, here, for schedule updates. Be sure to check back often.

If you’re wondering just where this worship event came from, let me tell you a little about who we are…

We are a small group of individuals who live in Pagosa Springs and have come together to promote a time of worship, prayer and revival. We didn’t come up with this event together, rather we were drawn together through an intense urgency that seemed to center around an outdoor worship event, in the fresh mountain air, for the entire Pagosa Springs community. The rest was God connecting us together as only God can. We met for the first time on Thursday, September 17 of this year. One member of our group had already been led to reserve the space, schedule the tent and pay all of the fees involved before she even knew the rest of us would be coming alongside her.

Since that meeting we have received an outpouring of support and a full line-up of musicians and speakers. We are prayerful and excited to see what God does with this time.

We invite you to grab a friend, bring your chairs, some water, some snacks, even a picnic dinner and get ready to worship.
