Archuleta County Announces Strategic Planning Process; Seeks Community Input

Archuleta County is excited to announce the initiation of its strategic planning process. This important initiative aims to set the direction for the county’s future over the next three years, ensuring that our growth and development reflect the values and needs of our community.

“I am so excited and proud of our staff for moving forward with a strategic planning process,” commented Archuleta County Board of County Commissioner’s (BOCC) Warren Brown. “This is a wonderful opportunity to bring County staff and our community stakeholders together in a joint effort to collectively identify and review the County’s vision and direction, assess, and prioritize our critical infrastructure needs, while working within a defined budget that is likely to promote success in meeting our goals.”

As we embark on this journey, the County is committed to an inclusive and transparent process, encouraging all residents to get involved. Community members will be invited to provide their thoughts and insights through a variety of opportunities including community listening sessions, interviews, and a survey.

“Strategic Planning for Archuleta County is going to be a game changer,” said BOCC Chair Veronica Medina. “I am excited to get this process started. Change is inevitable, and Archuleta County is evolving. My goal is to help prepare the County for planned future growth with all stakeholders.”
