Marconi’s Italian Restaurant
Marconi’s Italian Restaurant is located at 117 Navajo Trail, Pagosa Springs, CO.
Open 4 pm – 9 pm, closed Sundays.
Marconi’s is Pagosa Springs’ finest Italian restaurant. Well, okay, it’s Pagosa’s only Italian restaurant, if you don’t count a few pizza joints.
It won’t be mistaken for Little Italy in New York City, but the food here is pretty good for a small mountain town, and the restaurant stays busy. This is the first Italian place worth mentioning in Pagosa Springs.
Prices are reasonable, with appetizers such as Bruschetta, Calamari, and Mussels in the $7-$10 range. There are 8 or 10 pasta dishes (standards with sauces like Alfredo, Bolognese, Arrabbiata, and Shrimp Scampi) for $11-$18. There are another 8 or 10 entrees which include Chicken Saltimbocca, Pork Osso Bucco, and Salmon Piccata for $14-$20. Or design your own pizza. Also children’s dishes.
They offer basic liquors and a wonderfully low-priced wine list, about 20 bottles in the $18-$40 range. Now you know why the locals keep coming back.
Ambiance ranges from small, semi-romantic tables and booths to larger family tables.
If you’re hungry for something Italian beyond pizza, Marconi’s is the place to go.
