WEST SIDE STORY
June 22 – August 29, 2018

“Young lovers are caught between prejudice and warring street gangs in this seminal retelling of Romeo and Juliet.” From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents’ book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim — a collection of standards that includes “Tonight,” “America,” “Maria,” “I Feel Pretty” and “Somewhere” — is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. And the extraordinary, Tony-winning choreography by Jerome Robbins completely changed the language of Broadway dance. This groundbreaking new production offers a bold new design that builds on the show’s raw power and emotion to create a fresh experience unlike any that came before it. Don’t miss this thrilling presentation of a matchless work of art.

Book by Arthur Laurents. Music by Leonard Bernstein. Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Based on Conception of Jerome Robbins and Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Rated PG.

“Bernstein’s score… [is] a ravishment of modernist dissonance and smashing schmaltz, as irresistible as Puccini.”
– The New York Times
“West Side Story, with its matchless ability to weave a solemn narrative through music and dance, still dazzles after more than 50 years. …Both a brilliant evocation of its period and a timeless tragedy of disharmony and hate.”
– Variety

THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
July 6 – August 30, 2018

“Forget about the boy when a small-town girl searches for a new life in the bright lights of 1920s New York City.” The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002 season’s most awarded new show on Broadway! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes you back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City, when “moderns,” including a flapper named Millie Dillmount, were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love. This high-spirited musical romp is a delightful valentine to the long-standing spirit of New York City and the people who seek to discover themselves there.

New Lyrics by Dick Scanlan. New Music by Jeanine Tesori. Book by Richard Henry Morris, Dick Scanlan. Original Story and Screenplay by Richard Morris for the Universal Pictures Film. Rated PG.

“The lightweight joys of Thoroughly Modern Millie are the music, especially the rousing title number, and the refreshingly consequence-free world it creates.”
– The New York Times
“A thoroughly feel-good, joyous romp…. Perfect family entertainment.”
– The Examiner

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
July 13 – August 29

“Feed the need for musical hilarity with this delicious sci-fi smash about a man-eating plant.” A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. The meek floral assistant Seymour stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his co-worker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Seymour as long as he keeps feeding it… BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins… and intent towards global domination!

Book by Howard Ashman. Music by Alan Menken. Lyrics by Howard Ashman. Based on the film by Roger Corman, screenplay by Charles Griffith. Rated PG-13.
