The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce entertained its membership for the 42nd year last Saturday night. The Celebration included special recognition for model citizens in our community and their wonderful efforts. The annual meeting is always well attended with good food, libations, a silent auction and live entertainment all together made for a fun evening. The “Hats Off To You” theme included another clever Chamber contest for guests to play along with creative hat styles.

This year, the event was held at The Pagosa Lakes Vista Club House. Dinner included Salmon, Prime Rib and Portabella Mushroom entrees with tasty side dishes and salad. A full course meal with chocolate cake for desert. All created and graciously served by Chamber member Christine’s Cuisine. More than 20 fine items were offered in The Silent Auction, including golf packages, artwork, jewelry, gift certificates and a great 2018 Colorfest Weekend Package.

The 2017 Annual Report gave members a solid look at the year in review and exciting news for the future. The introduction of new board members and of also a look at the Community Award Nominations. The list was long and all the individuals and organizations were received directly from public nominations.

The special entertainment was provided by the comedic improv troupe from the famous Creed Repertory Theatre. They are starting their 53 season and offer a great getaway to beautiful, historic Creede, Colorado. Their funny performance gave the crowd lots of laughs and a nice finale to 2017. The Chamber events feature many talented performers throughout the year. Another fine performance by the Creede team. (For more info visit
