Final Weekend for ‘Circle Mirror Transformation’ at PSCA

By Dale Scrivener

Thingamajig Theatre Company’s current production of ‘Circle Mirror Transformation’ closes this Sunday at 2:00pm at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. The show features actor Ivy King, a Pagosa Springs local who went on to establish a professional acting career nationally. King anchors an ensemble cast which also includes Boni McIntyre, Dan Morrison, Dennis Elkins and Kathleen Macari, who are reuniting for the first time since their performances in last summer’s blockbuster repertory season. Don’t miss this opportunity to see King and all the amazing actors in this hilarious, beautiful, and touching piece by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Annie Baker.

Synopsis: In the small town of Shirley, Vermont, five strangers gather in a dance studio to embark on a unique journey together in a creative drama class for adults. In this one small room, through a few seemingly trivial games, quiet wars are waged, emotional wounds are nursed, and healing is finally, slowly, able to begin. In this quiet masterpiece, the audience takes a transcendent journey through the mundane into the profound.
