More Holiday Events in Pagosa Springs

Along with the Festival of Trees, which opens to the public at noon today, November 30, two other holiday events will take place this first weekend of December.

On November 30 and December 1 and 2, Centerpoint Church will host “Main Street Bethlehem.” The live period museum type event is from 6-7:30pm at 2750 Cornerstone Dr. Step back in time at this re-creation of Bethlehem complete with period characters, live animals, shops and goods.

The Pagosa Springs Community Choir will also perform on December 1-3 at the Pagosa Springs High School. The concerts on the 1st and 2nd will be held at 7pm and the concert on Sunday the 3rd is at 4pm. This is a free concert with donations appreciated.

The Pagosa Springs Girls Choir presents “Jingle All the Way” on Thursday, December 7 at 7pm at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis St. This concert is also free to the public and donations for this event are also appreciated.

The new Pagosa Peak Open School is hosting a winter fundraiser entitled Festival of Lights on Friday, December 8 starting at 5pm at their facility at 7 Parelli Way. The Open School students will present songs, art, food and traditions of the world’s largest cultures’ winter celebrations. While admission to the event is free, you will have a chance to donate to the school through their chili dinner, an ornament sale, gift basket auction, and casserole and pie sale… along with a ‘flying lantern’ lighting.

The annual Bar D Wranglers Christmas Jubilee will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at the Pagosa Springs High School Auditorium. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $17 for adults, kids 12 and under are $12. Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce or at the door.

On December 17 and 18 the Pagosa Springs Instrumental Music Society presents “The Heralds of Christmas.” The concert with brass, wind and string instruments, along with a little vocal, will be held at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church at 225 S. Pagosa St. at 3pm on the 17th and 7 p.m. on the 18th. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Bookends, The Choke Cherry Tree, Airport Self Storage and at the door.

Santa visits the Visitor Center every Saturday including December 23 for the last minute wishes. He offers hot drinks and snacks, from noon until 3pm on December 9, 16 and 23.
