BELVEDERE ARTS: A New Art Center for Pagosa Springs

By Susan Martin-Serra

Belvedere Arts hosted a very enjoyable Grand Opening on Saturday, September 30 and in spite of torrential rain, the crowds came out to see what the new arts venue was all about.

The mixed media Assemblage artworks of local artist Shari Louise were beautifully displayed in the new 500 square foot fine art gallery space created by artist/owner, Susan Martin-Serra.

Entertainment was provided by Charles Martinez, master of the Native American flute.

After many months of remodeling and preparation, the opening was a much welcomed event! The new Gallery will largely focus on promoting the work of local artists, while a gift shop within the space offers unique, affordable handmade works of art for sale.

Belvedere’s new space includes a comfortable studio/ workshop area for conducting classes/workshops and demonstrations, as well as artists presentations, art talks and poetry readings which will be open to the public.
