PHOTO ESSAY: Inaugural ‘Pink Party’ Raises Breast Cancer Awareness

Last Thursday, October 19, Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) and The Springs Resort and Spa teamed up to present the first Pink Party to help raise awareness to the benefits of early detection when it comes to Breast Cancer. The community event was the culmination of Women’s Wellness Week at The Springs.

Attendees listened to a brief doc talk by PSMC surgeon Dr. Lauri Medina, FAACS, and diagnostic radiologist Dr. Brenda Paris.

After the talk, guests mingled with the physicians and other local healthcare providers while enjoying appetizers from The Pagosa Baking Company and fresh fruit with the Chocolate Fountain. The Pagosa Peaks Volleyball Club volunteered their time and helped serve the appetizers.
