Archuleta Transfer Station to Host ‘Free Recycling Event’ Next Week

By Susan Goebel-Canning

Archuleta County, in conjunction with the Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS), will be hosting a free recycling event during Earth Week.

From April 18 through April 22, residents can bring their sorted recyclable waste to the Pagosa Springs Transfer Station located at 2146 CR 500. The facility is open 10am – 5pm.

Recycling helps reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, conserve natural resources and reduce negative impacts to the environment. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Look for products that use less packaging and are reusable. Donate and share items when possible. Recycle when the item can no longer be used by you or others.

Please see the County’s recycling webpage for additional information.

Susan Goebel-Canning is Director of Public Works for Archuleta County.
