Contractors Invited to CDOT Meeting January 13

The Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center, Colorado Contractors Association and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) are hosting an informational session announcing 2015 project opportunities in Region 5. The Contractor Event will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Durango Maintenance Training Facility, 20581 Highway 160 West, and will begin at 8:30am with a workshop for DBE and SBE certified businesses.

All current and prospective contractors are invited to learn about projects planned for 2015 throughout southwestern Colorado. There will also be an interactive workshop specifically designed for prime contractors, DBE, SBE firms and other small business contractors.

Learn what to expect as a contractor and how to renew your application or apply on CDOT’s new online self-service portal. Please bring your laptop if possible. A limited number of laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Opportunities exist in a variety of locations including: Durango, Cortez, Pagosa Springs, LaVeta Pass, San Luis Valley, Salida, Chaffee County, Ignacio and surrounding areas.

Upcoming projects will be announced and lunch will be served. An afternoon session for Prime Contractors on Successful Leadership and Team Building Skills will be offered at 12:30pm.
